Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Mix paints and coatings accurately to match specified colors and finishes
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care
- Follow safety protocols and use protective gear to maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any surface issues
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and properly dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety standards
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring smooth finishes and adherence to specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or related trades preferred
- Strong communication skills in English to understand instructions and collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and working at heights as needed
- Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to painting and construction environments
- Basic understanding of color matching, surface preparation, and application techniques
- Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with various types of paints and coatings, as well as experience in using spray equipment
